FUJI FRENIC-Eco Series Environmental Inverters
FRENIC - Eco is an inverter exclusively designed for fans and pumps. Developed by Fuji Electric, a leading inverter company, to meet global needs for economy.
Features such as the special functions for the HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, and Air-Conditioning) market, 
space saving, simple operation, a wide variety of models and global compatibility contribute to energy-savings and power-savings for variable torque load equipment. Requirements for total cost reduction in the fan and pump can be easily met with the FRENIC-Eco.

How does inverter save energy?

If you run a fan or pump and you have damper (valve) control or control it with an inverter, the relation between the air flow (flow rate) and the required power, as well as the relation between the power supply frequency fs (Hz) and operating frequency with the inverter fINV (Hz) are as shown in the table at right.

Fuji Electric is contributing to the future “smart” society through a variety of products utilizing our power electronics technologies, in everything from power creation in the area of power supply, energy conservation in the area of demand, to joining the two.

If the air flow rate is low, the energy saving effect is particularly great.

New energy-saving function

In addition to optimizing the control of the applied motor for Energy-Savings, FRENIC-Eco series drives also optimizes power consumption of the drive for maximizing Energy-Savings for the complete system. With regulations expected to call for a reduction of 1% or more in annual energy consumption, Fuji Electric is aiming to optimize energy savings as a complete system approach and not focusing only on reducing energy consumed by the motor.

Using this new system, energy savings is several percent improved over that of the previous models.
Kyoto Agreement, which was studied at the Conference on Prevention of Global Warming (COP3), was ratified by Russia in October 2004, and thereby put into effect on February 16, 2005. In the future, the related regulations are calling for a reduction in energy consumption of 1% or more each succeeding year, and therefore, we are aiming to build energy saving features into equipment as a whole.
FRENIC-Eco is the inverter equipped with the industry's highest level of efficiency (low power loss).
